Terms of Service

The conditions that apply when you rent an electric car from EVCNX Carrent.

Last updated September 2, 2026

These terms apply to every electric car rented from EVCNX Carrent. By confirming a booking you confirm that you have read and accepted them. If anything is unclear, call us on 095-995-3000 before you book.

01Who can rent, and what to bring

  • The renter must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid driving licence for at least one year.
  • Thai renters bring their original ID card and driving licence. Foreign renters bring a passport, a valid visa and an international driving permit.
  • Company rentals also require a company registration certificate issued within the last three months and a copy of the authorised signatory’s ID.
  • The driver must be the person who booked. Additional drivers must be named and their licence provided before handover.

We check original documents at every handover. If documents are missing or the name does not match the booking, we have to refuse handover, and the booking counts as cancelled by the renter.

02Booking and payment

  • A booking is confirmed once you receive a booking code such as CNX-K7M2QX by email or SMS.
  • Prices shown on the site already include compulsory motor insurance, first-class insurance and all charging during the rental. Nothing is added afterwards.
  • Booking online needs no prepayment and no credit card number — just a name, a phone number and an email address.
  • The rental fee is paid in full when you collect the car, by cash, credit card or PromptPay transfer, and you show your original documents at the same time.
  • Add-ons such as a child seat, a driver or out-of-area delivery are charged at the rates shown during booking.

03Deposit and refunds

  • A deposit is taken at pick-up at the rate shown on each car page, starting from 3,000 baht.
  • The deposit is returned in full within 7 working days of the car being returned, provided there is no damage, fine or unpaid balance.
  • If anything is deducted, we email you the itemised details and evidence before making the deduction.
  • Refunds are issued only to the account or card originally used for payment.

04Insurance and the excess

Every car carries first-class insurance plus compulsory motor insurance. The premium is already included in the rental price — you do not need to buy extra cover.

  • If you are at fault, or there is no other party involved, you pay an excess of 5,000 baht per incident.
  • You can buy excess waiver cover during booking to remove that liability.
  • Insurance does not cover driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving without a licence, or leaving the scene of an accident.
  • Report any incident to us and to the police immediately, and wait for the claim slip before moving the car unless it is blocking traffic.

05Charging, electricity and returning the car

  • Every car is handed over charged to 100%, with an AC (Type 2) charging cable in the boot.
  • Charging during the rental is included in the price, on every model: use the charging card or app supplied with the car and pay nothing at partner stations.
  • If you have to charge outside that network, pay the station, send us the receipt within 7 days of returning the car, and we refund the full amount within 7 working days.
  • Return the car at any battery level. There is no minimum state of charge and no shortfall fee.
  • A lost or damaged charging cable costs 4,500 baht, and charge-port damage from improper use up to 8,000 baht — neither is covered by first-class insurance.

Flat battery on the road? Call 095-995-3000 and press 9. Mobile charging is free twice per rental; from the third call it costs 1,500 baht. Never tow or push the car yourself.

06Prohibited use

  • The car may not be taken outside the Kingdom of Thailand under any circumstances.
  • No racing, speed testing, towing or off-road driving.
  • No subletting, passing the car on to a third party, or commercial passenger transport.
  • No illegal activity, transport of illegal goods, or loading beyond the rated capacity.
  • No smoking in the car, and no pets unless they travel in a carrier — a 2,000 baht cleaning fee applies.

Breaching any of the above voids insurance cover immediately. The renter becomes liable for the full cost of any damage, and we may recover the car at once without refunding the rental.

07Damage and traffic fines

  • The car is inspected jointly at pick-up and at return, and both sides keep photographs as evidence.
  • Traffic fines and toll charges incurred during the rental period are the renter’s responsibility.
  • When a ticket reaches us we pass it on to the renter together with a 300 baht handling fee per ticket.
  • Damage from improper use — a tyre burst on a kerb, for example — and belongings lost in the car are not covered.

08Cancellation and changes

  • Cancel more than 48 hours before pick-up and there is no charge — you get a full refund.
  • Cancel within 48 hours of pick-up and a fee equal to one day’s rental applies.
  • Not turning up without notice costs one day’s rental and cancels the whole booking.
  • You may move your dates once free of charge if you tell us at least 24 hours before pick-up and a car is available on the new dates.
  • If we cannot supply the model you booked, we provide an equivalent or better car at no extra cost, or refund you in full.

09Limits of liability

  • We are liable only for direct loss caused by a fault in the car or in our service, and only up to the rental fee received for that booking.
  • We are not liable for indirect loss such as a missed flight, lost business opportunity, or belongings left in the car.
  • If the car breaks down through no fault of the renter, we provide a replacement or 24-hour roadside assistance and refund the rental for the days the car was unusable.
  • These terms are governed by Thai law and any dispute is subject to the Thai courts.
