The SUV group suits families of four or five and anyone who regularly drives out of town. The taller body gives a longer view down the road and lets you cross potholed surfaces or shallow standing water without worrying about the underside. Seats sit about 10 cm higher than in a saloon, which makes getting in and out easier for older passengers — and this is the group our customers most often take to Chiang Mai, Krabi and Khao Yai.

The three models here are rated at 475–550 km per charge and take 88–120 kW on DC, so a 30-minute stop is enough to cover most of another day’s driving. The boot swallows three large cases, the rear bench folds flat for long items, and every car has vehicle-to-load power so you can run a rice cooker or an air pump at a campsite.
